Welcome to Sun Valley Elementary

        Sun Valley Elementary School has grown considerably this year.  The total student enrollment is 782.  The ethnic composite of our student population is 86.3% Hispanic, 8.5% White and 4.3% African American, with 82.3% students qualifying for reduced lunch.  64.4% of our students are considered At-Risk and 18% are identified as Limited English Proficient. Welcome to Sun Valley Elementary

Dear Parents,

      Welcome to the 2008-2009 year at Sun Valley. I am excited about starting a new year with you and your child. Please join us for “Meet the Teacher / Bring your Supplies” on August 21st at 6:00 pm. This evening will allow you and your child to meet the teacher, find the classroom and bring school supplies.  This event reduces the anxiety level of students on their first day of school.  Our first day of school this year is August 25.  Students must be in their classrooms at 7:30.  Dismissal is at 2:45.  Read More...

Estimados Padres de Familia;

      Bienvenidos al ano escolar 2008-2009  en la Primaria Sun Valley. Estoy ansiosa de empezar un nuevo ano con usted y sus hijos.  Por favor, acompáñenos la noche de “Conocer a Mi Maestro” y “Presentar Mis Útiles” el 21 de agosto a las 6:00p.m.  Esta noche le va a permitir a usted y a su hijo(a) conocer a su nuevo maestro, encontrar su salón de clase y traer sus útiles escolares.  Este evento ayudara a reducir niveles de ansiedad para los alumnos el primer día de clases.  Nuestro primer día de clases este ano es el 25 de agosto.  Los alumnos deben presentarse a sus salones de clase a no más tardar que las 7:30a.m.  Clases terminan a las 2:45p.m.   Leer  más
